Six Female DepEd Sorsogon City employees join Women's Month Celebration

Six female DEpEd employees of Schools Division Office  joined the Women’s Month Celebration in Sorsogon City.  They attended the opening parade on March 5, 2016 that served as launching activity of the said celebration. They also participated in the Women’s Forum on March  23, 2016 at Bacon Function Hall, Cabid-an, Sorsogon City together with the various Women’s  Association & Organizations in the City of Sorsogon and agencies like Philippine Statistics Authority and  PNP-Sorsogon City.

Ms. Shirley E. Legaspi, Division GAD Focal Person led the six female employees from DepEd Sorsogon City on the said women’s activities.They were sent by Dr. Nympha D. Guemo, Schools Division Superintendent, to manifest  the support of DepEd to the advocacies of women. 

Women’ Month celebration is celebrated yearly based on Proclamation No. 227 s. 1988, calling the annual conduct of the National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) to recognize the roles of Filipino women in our society. This year’s theme is “Kapakanan ni Juana, Isama sa Agenda!” (Include Women in the Agenda).  Karahayan ni Juana, Iibá sa Pag-uurulayan!

The series of activities  for this women’s month celebration were facilitated by LGU-Sorsogon City.
